The 11/11 Portal Listening Session
A short sound journey from Embers. Ten quiet minutes, whenever you want them, between now and November 13. If you're able to join, you won't be the only one pressing play at 11:11am for a special collective listening session.
11:11 shows up on clocks more than any other number seems to, at least once you start noticing it. Numerologists have called eleven the master number for longer than anyone can trace: a mark of intuition, insight, the moment right at a threshold. Nobody can tell you what a doorway opens, only that thresholds ask something of us: a word held clearly, an intention we're willing to name. When many people hold their word at the same instant, on purpose, that word carries differently.
The shared moment is 11:11 AM Mountain on Nov 11, wherever that lands for you.
Come at 11:11 for the shared moment, or come any time. The audio stays open through the end of the day on November 13.
One question, held at the door:
What do you want on the other side of this door?
Optional. Writing it down or holding it quietly both count.
Which best describes you right now?

This is a sound-only session. Soon the Embers Online community will launch with our special app that uses a soothing flicker of the flash on the phone to pair with the audio.
The Listen
A short spoken opening called The Gate plays first.
Then the session itself. Let it run.
Choose one word. Not the whole plan, just the word. Then let the ember glow.
The Gate, in words
The spoken opening, written out. If the audio hasn't loaded for you, the words are all here.
There's a reason 11:11 catches people's eyes on a clock, again and again, until it feels like more than coincidence. People have called it a lot of things: a wink, a nudge, a doorway. Nobody can prove what a doorway does. Only that standing in one, on purpose, asks something of you: a word held clearly, a beat where you're not quite where you were and not quite where you're going. That is the whole instruction. You do not have to walk through anything. You only have to stand here, in the doorway, and let yourself be exactly where you are.
Welcome to the Embers community.
Wherever you are right now, that's the right place for this. At your desk, in the car before you walk in, on the couch with the coffee still warm. The doorway doesn't wait for a better moment. It opens right in the middle of an ordinary morning, exactly where you're standing.
Put your headphones on if you have them. Let your eyes close for a minute, or let them rest softly on one spot if this isn't a moment you can close them. For the next ten minutes nothing is required of you but staying. A doorway doesn't rush you through. It just holds open, quietly, for exactly as long as you need it to.
Somewhere in these ten minutes, a word may rise on its own. Don't go looking for it. If it comes, hold it the way you'd hold an ember: loosely, so it doesn't go out in your grip, and so it can do what it's there to do, light the way from one side of the door to the other. Choose one word. Not the whole plan, just the word. Then step through, or don't. Either way, you were here.
When the session ends, come back to the page.
Reflect
What shifted between one side of the door and the other, or didn't. Nothing much happened is a real answer. So is everything. Both count.
The closing words
However it landed, that's real. We'll let you know when we do this together again. The journey is yours either way.
Tap any that fit.
If there's someone who could use ten quiet minutes this week, send them one. Add one line of your own. They don't need to do anything with it. That's the whole gift.
You left your email at the door, so when the next one opens, you'll hear about it. The ten minutes were yours either way.
